“Oh,” Vi finally seems to catch on, her eyes widening with understanding before a grin settles over her face. She throws her head back to let out a full body laugh. “I was worried something was wrong.”
“It is,” Caitlyn whines, irritated by Vi’s reaction.
If only Vi knew the borderline animalistic urges Caitlyn is experiencing, the sheer desperation and need to be touched, she would see that there’s nothing funny about it.

A breathy laugh leaves my lips. “Why do I get the impression you’re not used to being told no?”
Vi apprehends me with amusement on her face as I pack up my belongings gradually, a seductive glint in her eye.
“Why do I get the exact same feeling about you?”
Her ability to read me would be quite impressive, if it weren’t so inconvenient.
