Summary
Simon is dreading his first day back. Having a chemistry class at nine in the morning was the worst scheduling decision ever, but there wasn’t much of an option. Chemistry has never been his strong suit, and he doesn’t entirely get what it has to do with his desire to be an entomologist, but here he is. A cup of coffee in his right hand, bag slung over his shoulder, and eyes scoping the lab for the ideal spot. The only other person he sees currently in the lab is a stocky man with a mohawk, wearing a skin tight blue shirt and… “Are you wearing a skirt?” Simon asks before he can stop himself.
The man looks up at him, giving Simon an eyeful of ocean blues and a stubble. “It’s a kilt,” the man corrects, voice thick with a Scottish brogue. “Difference is, I dinnae wear anything under a kilt.” Simon rolls his eyes and sits down across from him. “I’m Johnny. What’s yer name?”
“Simon.”

Summary
Dennis has had a crush on his attending, Dr. Robby, since his medical school rotation. Sure, he's heard the rumors that Dr. Robby doesn't do long-term, that all his relationships are on a 7-week timer. But if he's good enough, perfect enough, maybe he can beat the odds?

Summary
"But you’ve been bitten before.”
Will’s chin snaps up. Though he still doesn’t meet Jack’s gaze, he focuses on the set of his mouth, the tilt of his brows, anything that might betray an underlying threat. He sees merely a hunger for insight, and a reckless ambition that has probably gotten people killed before. He doesn’t like either, but they present no immediate danger, so his eyes fall back to the floor.
“You’re thinking of werewolves. Takes more than a bite to turn someone into a vampire. It’s a communal experience.” A hint of mocking curls his tongue around the phrase, words borrowed from the very creature who had done the biting. “Do they have you chasing monsters now, Jack? One would think they’d have the sense to open a new department by now. The sheer volume of cases alone.”
“Bureaucracy moves slowly. That’s why I need help. Eight girls, eight months, eight different Minnesota campuses. What do you say, want to take that overactive imagination out in the field?”

Summary
The first one he chalks up to negligence, someone received the wrong instructions for a postmortem examination. An unfortunate mistake, but these things happen. The second one means someone is making this kind of mistake twice, which is already twice more than it should have happened, and whoever's teaching down there sure as hell should have caught the error and corrected it by now.
The third one is what makes him sure this isn't an accident. Someone is stealing human remains in the hospital.
