His own lilt sat low in his throat, a hellish growl.
Almost feral, and he would be if he didn't eat soon.
He could make it until nightfall, but waiting was never easy, and he hadn't intended to this long.
If Remmick took the lives he fed on, those meals turned into something like him.
Eating with discipline was tricky business. Not impossible, but tedious.
But she didn't wait any further for Remmick to make his decisions, unfastening the first several buttons of her frock, sleeve dripping from her shoulder.
She turned slightly, poised for him to do as his will took him.
Remmick almost lost it, the pale curve of her neck catching what little light there was.
He slammed his fist against the door by her head, jolting her slightly.
"I could... kill you."
Nadine shuddered a breath, but her stance was set. "You won't."
Presumptuous of her.
"Mm," he hummed, thrumming his claws along the thin band of her throat, so slender he could wrap one hand around it. "You sure about that?"
