Summary
Moving to St. Dominics was the last thing Kira wanted.
After her father decided to run for mayor of the small town, she was forced to leave behind Vancouver, her friends, her boyfriend, and the life she had already begun to build. Now she had to get used to a new college, overly nosy neighbors, and the constant feeling that everyone knew who she was even before they spoke to her.
What Kira didn’t expect was to find people who would make the transition easier. Or to end up spending so many afternoons at a small local bakery. Much less to meet a psychology student named Yumeko Jabami.
As she tries to survive her family’s expectations, the pressure of deciding what she wants to do with her future, and feelings she never thought she’d have to question, Kira will discover that some people have the strange ability to turn an unfamiliar place into a home.
