Summary
Five years ago, Catra’s world shattered with the sudden death of her wife, Adora. Now, she lives in a silent apartment filled with ghosts, her body a traitorous landscape of chronic pain she navigates with a cane and sheer stubbornness. Every morning is a battle—against the ache in her bones, the memory of a laugh that will never sound again, and the crushing weight of a loneliness so deep it feels like a second skin.
A story about grief that doesn’t end, but changes shape. About a body that can't be fixed, but can still be lived in. And about the quiet, stubborn courage it takes to open the curtains on a south-facing window and let the light back in.

Summary
“She would’ve loved you.”
Cate was stunned by the statement and the certainty. “How do you know?”
Indira gently swept some errant strands behind Cate’s ear, gaze flickering between Cate’s eyes and lips. “Because I do.”

This was beautiful. The line about how lily existed in every overprotective text broke me. I felt seen. I wish that someday someone will know my daughters existence through similar actions

Summary
Catra's world is measured in pain: dislocated joints, crushing fatigue, and the relentless calculus of survival. A shower can cost her days. When Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome steals her independence, pride becomes a luxury she can't afford. Enter Mara, a caregiver whose steady hands and unwavering respect offer Catra something she'd forgotten – dignity.
Washing away the grime of illness, Mara helps Catra find moments of peace, even hope. But when the fragile lifeline of professional care is threatened by a system built on denial, Catra faces her deepest fear: being trapped once more in a body she can't care for. Adora stands by her side, but love alone can't navigate the labyrinth of insurance or ease the suffocating weight of despair.
(Features both a Bad Ending and an Alternate Good Ending)

Really like this authors work so far second one I've read. Just finished she ra cause I knew a friend liked it. Didn't expect this to be the second fic in the fandom I read.
Id never seen someone tag eds.
Somehow representation I didn't know I needed.
Also ends the way most my stories do.
This felt all too familiar in a way a lot of things haven't.
Thank u. -

Summary
So maybe this is where it starts, that slow descent into everything the other woman is. You wonder if you had the chance, if you would have signalled warning signs to this version of you.
But you know, even now, you wouldn’t. Even after everything, you still would have chosen an umbrella and Miss Thornhill and her tight grip around your body against her; and the dangerous, warm teeth of her smile.
The delusion is thinking you ever had a choice to begin with.
