Well… i’m half Kryptonian too… but I only sorta have Clark's powers anyway so…. Anyway, the point is, If Jon has powers and all that he'll probably want to be Superboy and Clark will probably want him to be too…. So I should probably find a different mantle so that Clark doesn't feel weird about like…. Firing me, i guess.”

After Lily and James die and Voldemort disappears (permanently) professor McGonagall refuses to leave Harry with the Dursley's, the only person left to raise Harry after his parents died and his godfather got sent to Azkaban is Remus Lupin.
Remus was left broken after the wizarding war, he lost his best friends and the man he was in love with was the reason they died. All he has left is little Harry James Potter and he would do anything to keep it like that.
(the time line isn't accurate so Harry wasn't born in the 80's but it isn't really important when, it's just so certain things make more sense)

Tim usually didn't ignore details. He was a detective. He knew how even the smallest gestures could convey a world of information. But when it came to one particular subject, Tim elected to ignore the evidence. It wasn't a question he wanted solved, so he tried his best not to notice. It was easier to pretend if he just closed his eyes.
But try as he might, he couldn't ignore this.

Once upon a time, Tim Drake was Robin.
And he was 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥.
But he wasn't chosen.
And that's fine, okay? It was a delicate situation, he understood that then and he understands it now. He doesn't hold it against Bruce, or Dick, or anyone after him who benefited from the Batman that he fixed. It's just, he hadn't realized how many things he lost out on while fixing Batman.
The ice cream just seems to be the final straw.
