(Spoilers for Pyro's POV of ep 7 in summary and story. specifically details of his backstory, and other character's fates)
So my other fic Caustic Recollections was written with the presumption that Pyro was innocent for Czeslaw's death and falsely accused, with the perspective that Pyro is a victim. This is the opposite. Pyro reflecting on his circumstances. I quickly had to get this out of my system after watching ep 7. Enjoy!Also I'm going to be 100% honest, the 'choose to use no archive warnings' is just because I don't know if the events in ep 7 count as 'major character death' if it's being reflected on and not graphically shown, and if said character isn't technically involved in this fic, only thought of.

Viktor's still frowning. He looks at Jayce like he's a puzzle, the same as an invention malfunctioning when they don't know why. "Jayce," he says, smoothly cutting through the butterflies in Jayce's stomach. "I am… flattered, by your words. But I'm afraid I have some reserves."
