    “Emun Ryder,” she said, feeling the warmth of his touch spread into her palm.
    His grip was loose compared to hers; years of trying to impress other officers by having a strong handshake was ingrained deep within her, but she loosened her own hand when she found how easily it fit into his.
    She shook her head when she saw him smirk, a deep frown settling upon her face as she slipped her hand away from his.
    “You’re rather cute when you frown like that,” he said, and she narrowed her eyes when he touched his finger and thumb to her chin, turning her attention back towards him.
    She grabbed his hand, pulling it down. “Do you always do this to people you first meet?”
    “Only when they’re fun to tease,” he chuckled.
    Emun glared at him, burning a little at his cute comment; she wanted to wipe that smirk off his face. This was new territory; she didn’t usually get so flustered like this.
    “If you’d like to keep holding my hand I’m fine with that, but shouldn’t we talk about business first?”
