“I look good in anything, Kate Bishop,” Yelena says matter-of-factly, grabbing the remote from the top of the dresser before unceremoniously dropping down on top of the covers, making herself at home in Kate’s bed.
Her smile morphs into a more guarded frown when Kate lies down next to her.
"The fact I am in your bed right now does not mean we are going to have sex.”
“Okay,” Kate says, stretching the word. “To be honest I didn’t think we were.”

Summary
Some heroes were made by fate. Kate Bishop had made herself.
Yelena takes in the sight of Kate’s arms covered in Minion-themed bandaids, the black eye creeping out under the obnoxious purple frames of her custom sunglasses; Lucky’s dog leash tangles between the archer’s legs and she stumbles in an attempt to remain standing.
“Kate,” Yelena states flatly, “you look like a total asshole.” Kate nods like she knows this already.
OR: the underground criminal network bites back: in which kate bishop crushes on her roommate, runs the bodega out of bandaids, and tells her mom to fuck off. oh, and drags along an assassin (hot) and two dogs (brainless) with her.

Yelena’s eyes studied her, the intensity branding Kate’s skin in a way she’d never be able to forget. She smelled like expensive perfume and warmth and Kate was drowning in it.
Coldness pressed between them when Yelena stepped away from her.
“You do not belong here. You will get yourself killed and that is not my problem if you die because you are stupid.”
Yelena turned and walked toward the door of Kate’s room, careless, like she had no qualms about a counter-attack; like nothing Kate could do would ever pose a threat to her.

Summary
Set after the events of Hawkeye Yelena takes on a harrowing mission in Latveria that doesn't go as planned. So what does any "emotionally healthy " 36 year old do after a failed "spreading of democracy". Well they hide out at an old safe house and drink away the pain. But sometimes wanting to be left alone doesn't always go to plan as a visitor interrupts her self wallowing session.
