    “Well?” Brian demands, figuring that it’s better to yield to anger than despondency, “go home. I don’t need you.”

    As soon as Brian had said it, he regretted it. With urgency in his steps and in the absence of a mind of his own, Masky turned and obliged to the direct order he had been waiting for. Before Brian could reach out or object against his own command, his accomplice had already disappeared into the darkness of the night.

    Guilt gnawed at the hooded man's chest; he dangles on a leash of his own longing, constricting him until he bit and nipped at whoever neared. He was no better than a dog.

    OR,
    Brian, battling with his loss of self and yearning for any kind of interaction resorts to finding love through a stupid porcelain mask worn by his empty shell of his former best friend.
    Issues arise when Brian finds himself falling for a man he cannot have.

    Rustling came from a mass of bushes in front of them. Jeff froze, while HABIT grinned, looking absolutely elated at the noise. "Alright, Jeffers, watch closely," he whispered and, just as Jeff was about to speak, he pounced into the bushes. Jeff gasped slightly, staring at the mass before glancing around. Maybe now he could go back to the house, get Miss Maryann and the doctor before--
