Summary
Your name is Karkat Vantas, and you are a mutant, a freak of nature with red blood, which is frowned upon. You have been safe for many sweeps, but now your eyes have betrayed your blood color and you have beem practically exiled onto an alien planet. It's a suicidal mission that only your superiors know about, and not one of your friends do.
You are captured and taken into captivity, where you are tortured for information and studied like a caged animal because your species is alien to these...To these humans. These awful humans with their needles and weapons of torture, trying to hear you scream and decipher a language out of it, to see how you react to blood of animals.
Eventually one of your friends hears of your capture and gathers a rescue team, but you have fallen for one of the humans there.
Now your friends don't trust you either. You have affiliated yourself with the humans who have tortured you, and they don't know if you are a friend or an enemy. Everything is so mixed up and screwed that you feel like vomiting your own blood.

You're convinced there is an evil lurking within your group of role players, and you trust your best friend, Vicky, your fellow Scourge Sister, to help you find it. Something tells you that whatever it is, it isn't pretty.

Fortunes have been won and lost on the GenMo Games, and sometimes the fate of worldwide corporations and even countries have hung in the balance on a single outcome. All rules of a match are decided before the contestants enter the arena – the only constant is “no lethal force.”
The 104th Squadron is the name given to the new rookies, so-called because most of them are from Trost’s 104th District, which was devastated by a chemical waste spill twenty years ago. If they wish to continue in the Games, they have one year to impress the scouts and be recruited into one of the three professional Leagues: The Survey Corps, The Military Police, and The Stationary Guard. There are also rumors of an underground ring of GenMo Games being formed, one that does not forbid lethal force. People that survive long enough in the underground arena are said to be called “Titans”, but no one ever claims to have met one in the flesh…
