Darkness had spread around them and Hanji new that she only had a matter of minutes. There were bodies some she new, some she didn't, but every last one had the survey corps logo emblemed into their uniform.
' If I don't hurry, then it would be me next. ' She thought darkly.
She gripped the reins on her horse tightly and continued to go further into the darkness. 'I'll give my life for humanity.' She thought fiercely. She was going to fix this. The world would be sane again. Hanji allowed her thoughts to push her, she urged them to allow her to reach her destination on time.

This is a songfic, based off of Must Have Been The Wind by Alec Benjamin. Highly suggest you give that a listen before you read.
