Summary
It’s early evening and Caitlyn is back at her desk finishing up her reports for the day when Sheriff Grayson walks over and asks to speak with Officer Kiramman in her office. Caitlyn looks up and registers the carefully neutral expression on Grayson’s face and her eyes narrow. That means something happened. But what? Caitlyn follows Grayson to the office and Grayson asks her to close the door and have a seat. Sheriff Grayson has always been a straightforward person so she begins by telling Caitlyn that there’s been a double homicide, Mr. Jayce Talis and Viktor. Caitlyn’s blood runs cold and she remembers from this morning that Jinx said she had a meeting today with Viktor.

I managed to read the first book in a day. I honestly wasn’t expecting that ending but it’s an exciting beginning for this book. I’m looking forward to reading this. By any chance, do you think about exploring more of Jinx’s trauma? Like her hallucinations? They haven’t shown up in the last book as much. Anyways, I hope you're doing well. 🫡
