Summary
Summer Townsend is one of few fortunate souls that make it beyond the dreary life of Victorian England. She is eternally grateful for that, but she also can't help but think her hell never disappeared, merely taken a new shape. With the lose of a mentor and the world looking in her direction for salvation, she feels the walls closing in on her. Every day the walls get closer and closer. Some days the sun allows her a glimpse of its warmth, but the warmth never erases the cold stuck in her rotted soul.
