Summary
Forgiveness was not something that came to Lerani Surana easily. And as she stared at her would-be commander, she wanted to stop the entire Inquisition and let Thedas burn. Cullen stared down at her, eyes wide with something akin to fear. The night was silent, Haven sleeping soundly even as their Herald and her commander stood just outside in the snow.
“Lerani.” Cullen whispered, a red handprint on his face from where she’d struck him. Her right hand still stung.
“Rutherford.” She replied coldly, a snarl on her lips as she glared up at him. Something like hurt flickered over the commander’s face, and a small ember of guilt ignited in her chest. She tried to smother it, but it survived no matter what she did. It always did.

Eight years after the end of the Fifth Blight, Lerani Surana had no interest in the Divine Conclave, but because of her position as Warden-Commander, she was forced to. Aranea tilted his head. "Well, I am a Grey Warden." He offered. "It's my job to stop the Blight. And if I must save the circle to gain help from the Templars, so be it." Greagoir stared at him incredulously before shaking his head and sighing.
"We need all the help we can get. I don't get the luxury of denying you." He pointed at the large barred doors, guarded by two younger Templars. "You know your way around. I will only open that door if Irving is on the other side. I hope you know what you're getting into, Mage."
