She drops her belongings in a heap on the floor, a symbolic gesture. She’s staying.
“Feel better now?” She can barely contain her glee.
He sits forward on the couch, avoiding her gaze and caging his fingers in front of him. With a wry laugh he shakes his head, tongue pressed against the inside of his cheek. Then his eyes rake deliberately up her body from floor to crown and all the light seems to have gone out of them, the overly sweet smile falling short of reaching them.
This… isn’t what she expected? Tingles of unease creep up her spine the longer his intense appraisal continues and her smile falters, the silent tension charging the air between them like the gathering storm outside the windows.
“Do I feel better?” he repeats, a keen edge to his voice. “Hmph.”

You flushed, turning around in an attempt to hide yourself from view, but he flipped you back around and placed your hands flat on the window.
“I need everyone to see that you’re mine,” he said in your ear, his voice soft but stern.
“Xavier, I—”
“Don’t worry,” he chuckled, and you heard the jingle of his belt as it came undone, followed by the rustling of fabric as he undressed and tossed his clothes to the floor. You turned around instinctually, eager to see him and touch him, but he grabbed your wrist and pressed your hand back to the window, halting your movement.
