Summary
When you are born, upon the first sound of your cry and the opening of your eyes, the discussion about your place in society begins. And then, during puberty, the presentation is made – the males and females reveal their secondary gender: Alpha, Beta, or Omega.
Shane Hollander had a 78 percent chance of presenting himself as an Alpha. He was betting on that, calculating it a million times over in his mind. As hockey became more intense, with scouting and international tournaments, he seemed fulfilled as a top prospect to be drafted to the NHL, just as he had planned.
But life didn’t expect the other 22 percent to lead him to his first heat at sixteen. How humiliating and wet he felt when his secondary gender, Omega, came out with its stupidly sweet new scent. He didn’t want to be sweet. The world – much less hockey – was inclusive of omegas. No, omegas were at the bottom of the pyramid; weak as a feather.....Or Ilya accidentally gets Shane pregnant, and this finally leads them to resolve things between them.

Hayden ran up, grabbed his hand and said in his dad-of-a-kid-having-a-meltdown voice “Hey, hey, it’s going to be okay Shane. They’re going to take good care of you. That appendix is going to come right out and you’ll be back in no time.”
Shane’s teary eyes widened and then narrowed.
“What?” he gasped out between shallow breaths.
“Fuckin' hell, I told him not to say that.” the doctor muttered.
“What do you mean? It’s not his appendix? What’s going on?”
“Hollander is in labor and the baby is coming very soon, so Pike please let the EMT’s load him up. He’s going to Montreal General. We called his parents and they’re on their way.”

Shane Hollander had been under a lot of stress lately, coming out to his team, supporting his secret boyfriend, ect. So something may have slipped through the cracks and was now going to make itself known right here on the ice of this Ottawa vs. Montreal game.

Summary
Katniss Everdeen has spent the last year attempting to appease President Snow and tame the Districts of Panem along side Peeta Mellark. Their efforts failing and the Quell announced, Katniss and Peeta find comfort in one another as their unique relationship grows. But things quickly change when an announcement shakes the people of Panem.
Chaos reigns below in the streets of Panem. Fire has erupted in the Capitol tonight.
I watch Peeta study the streets. His eyes watching over the uproar. A slight smirk tugging at his lips, proud of what he ignited.
“How long have you known?” I mumble, still somewhat shameful about hiding things from him.
Peeta’s smile drops and he meets my gaze. “I think when you knew.”
“This whole time?" I stir restlessly across from him. "I suppose I am not the best liar.”
“No you are not.” He laughs.
