No sex during the playoffs is hard enough when its just a superstition. When your favorite hookup is a stickler for the rules and you're entering Game Seven against him, it's plain cruel.
Ilya thinks the loser deserves a consolation prize.
Fortunately, Shane is willing to negotiate a bit on what counts as "sex."-

Shane blanches, which is a word Ilya learned first about asparagus and then about people, though he’s only ever experienced one of those first-hand before. “I don’t know,” he says after a minute. “Do you think that counts?”
“Do I think blowjobs count as sex?”
Shane makes a frustrated noise. “We haven’t fucked once in the last two weeks because of the superstition, and I’m going to the finals, and now I’m stuck thinking about whether blowjobs are sex and if makes a difference if I’m just doing the blowing. Happy?”Series
