Summary
“We’ll always be here,” El replies kindly. “If things are ever confusing, remember that, okay?”
Mike swallows the lump rising in his throat. His hands shake with vulnerability. The room feels a bit suffocating, but he can’t tell if it’s from fear or love.
He thinks it might be love.
He meets Will’s gaze. He sees an entire galaxy in his eye.
“You came back,” Will says simply. “You came back to us, and that’s all that matters.”
Season 5, but things don't go as planned. In fact, Mike learns that reality can fall apart in the blink of an eye, and promises are the only thing that can stitch it back together.

Summary
Don’t panic. Call Kevin Day.
You have no idea what you’re getting into, making Jean Moreau a Trojan.
Jean has always been something of a black box. Whereas Riko Moriyama and Kevin Day spent so much of their childhoods at Evermore in the spotlight, the details of Jean Moreau’s personal life have been kept largely in the dark. In post-game interviews, he’s always blended into the monolith of Ravens standing behind Riko. But until Kevin called a couple weeks ago, you thought you at least had a general impression of Jean Moreau: an absolute nightmare of a backliner, with the ruthless ambition and arrogance expected of any Raven — especially one marked for Riko’s so-called Perfect Court.
The person waiting for you in baggage claim at LAX is like someone else entirely.
Do’s and don’ts for rehabilitating an ex-Raven, by Jeremy Knox.

Summary
“Well,” Remus says quietly, “you don’t let people know you."
“And you’re saying you know me?” Sirius drawls, leaning back in his chair. “You’re the only one?”
The half-arsed derision in his tone doesn’t seem to surprise or intimidate Remus. He only smiles, knowing.
It is one thing to love a person; it is quite another to see them as they truly are and to love them all the same. And sometimes, Sirius thinks, he’d rather die than let anybody see beneath the defensive facade of his brave face.
From 1971 to 1978, the Hogwarts years of obsession, betrayal, recklessness, lies, too much drink, insecurity, and all eclipsing sexual frustration. Seven years of Sirius Black’s insufferable god-complex, of Remus Lupin’s most private shames, of secret relationships, awkward hookups, James Potter’s blunt advice, and more yearning than sense. Seven years for Sirius to finally admit to himself that what he wants is not only to be loved, but to be known entirely. And therein lies the difficulty.

Summary
Duke just got picked up by the weirdest family around after two years in the system, all he has to do is fundamentally hide himself or risk being thrown in a cell next to his parents. How hard could it be?
___
Or: A little character study into Duke Thomas where I play fast and loose with his lore and powers. For context, in this one he went into foster care at 14 and didn't join the batfamily until he was 16. I also made his powers more emotion based and slightly inspired by the thunderbolts after watching it. By this I mean his shadow powers just started to develope and are triggered by darker thoughts and depression. Otherwise he is still a glowstick and most other powers are more accurate.
