Summary
After overhearing a devastating conversation, Joaquin decides to due the universe a favor by renouncing his role as The Falcon. However, a chance encounter leads to an act of heroism, which leads him to be imprisoned by the infamous HYDRA, who want nothing more than to see Captain America and their defective asset perish.
Meanwhile, Joaquin's disappearance creates tension between Sam and Bucky, forcing them to confront each other and their greatest fears.

“Where’s the ammo?” Kat, still trying to recover from the retreat, merely blinked in confusion. “Where is the boy with the ammo?”
“The…” he began distantly.
“The one who cried for his friends? Where is he? He had-”Kat didn’t even register the remaining inquiries. Instead, he turned around a few times and expected to be greeted by familiar brown hair and sharp blue eyes... When Kat realized he was alone, it was as if someone had knocked the air out of him.
A brief "missing scene" before Paul enters Eguisac and reunites with Tjaden and Kat. It can be read as a stand-alone or as a prequel to "Schlafe, Mein Prinzchen."

“Fucking hell, Leon.” Piers’ voice pulled Leon back to the present. “What the hell happened? Did that thing throw you through the window?” He was already unzipping the small field medic kit he carried on his belt, digging out a wad of gauze to press it onto the wound and staunch the bleeding.
“No,” Leon answered the question belatedly, still a little stunned. His breath hitched when Piers pressed down against the wound, even with how careful Piers was being not to jostle the shard of glass too much. “I tackled it through the window.”
“On purpose?” Piers asked, sparing Leon a disapproving frown.
Leon shrugged. Immediately regretted it. “It seemed like a good idea at the time.”
The sigh that Piers heaved at that was nothing short of suffering. He taped a bandage onto Leon’s side, and when he finally straightened he still looked unhappy. “I’d prefer it if we could call in the medics and have them carry you out on a stretcher,” he started, “But this place is structurally so unsound we don’t really have the time for it. You’d know, if you’d had your radio,” he gave Leon a pointed look.
Leon grinned.

Summary
Essek had heard of magic exhaustion before. Of course he had. Any mage who had been properly trained knew exactly what it was. He did not, however, know that its effects were different for each magic practitioner who experienced it. For example, whenever Essek experienced it, he simply got very exhausted and would need to spend a day doing next to nothing in order to recover.
It was Caleb that helped Essek to make this discovery, though he certainly hadn't meant to.
