Hollander brushed his thumb over a small chip in the glaze. Somehow, looking was never enough for him. Whenever he liked something – the picture in the living room, the leaf, now this cat – he reached out and touched. Ilya remembered how, the night of their first hook-up, Hollander had touched him first too: fingers curling around Ilya’s arm, as though physical contact were the only way to make sure he was real.

Luca Haas used to be THE fanfic writer in the Hollanov fandom.
