“You were looking for me. Surely you must have realized I didn’t want to be found.”
“I did. But you also know me and you know how determined I am once I have my sight on something, or someone. What I don’t understand is why you left.”
The unspoken ‘me’ at the end of that statement made Seoho look away in shame more than Geonhak’s piercing stare ever could. He wanted nothing more than to be honest with Geonhak, tell him that since he was a fallen angel they couldn’t have a happy future no matter how much he craved it. Instead he said nothing, staring down at the reflection in his tea.

“Back when you were still a mighty and respected dragon?”
Contrary to what Geonhak had believed, Seoho didn’t attempt to run away or deny anything when he was called out like that, instead calmly placing his chopsticks onto the table. When he met Geonhak’s eyes, there wasn't even a hint of nervousness found in his expression.
“You could say it like that, yes. The question is how you found out and what you need from me now that you know.”
“It’s a big feat to surprise a dragon, isn’t it?"

“You mean you don’t know what you did? Why, you summoned me of course!”
“Summoned… you? What the hell-”
“Oh, you really don’t know? This is troublesome… Okay well, let me explain then. It’s easy, really… I’m a genie and that coffee grinder that you so rudely dropped is my magic item, my home if you will. Since you summoned me I will now grant you three wishes. Simple as that!”
Geonhak had thought that living with a genie might only change his daily life slightly and had planned to continue his routines like usual. How wrong he had been about that.

Blood always seemed to taste better when taken from people he held close to his heart and Hwanwoong knew why he hadn't let himself taste sweet temptation from Seoho before. He didn't know if he could ever stop asking for more now that he had finally tasted salvation.

“You’ve got a dragon.”
It’s not a question, but a statement made in sheer disbelief.
“So it seems.”
Geonhak only takes a second to switch his gaze from the rather tiny pink dragon, lying on the fluffy carpet at his feet, to Seoho who’s watching him with a raised eyebrow, arms crossed in front of his chest.
“Will you close your mouth already and sit down? You look like you’re having a stroke, Geonhak.”
“But… but Seoho, you… you have a dragon.”
“If you’re gonna mention it one more time, I’m throwing you out. I’m aware of the dragon if you didn’t realize, you big loaf of idiocy.”

Dongju hesitated, staring up at the disheartened expression of his friend. He wanted to see him smile again, liked it when that smile was directed at him but he also wanted to be taken seriously, to get the attention he so craved. If he was like one of those girls, whispering about Geonhak whenever he passed by them, he would’ve sneaked in a letter into his locker as well. Actually, Dongju had thought about it, had even started writing one before he had burned it in the sink, so no one could ever find out.
He wasn’t one to hide between pretty letters on a piece of paper, couldn’t just be as ordinary as all the others. But it annoyed him that Geonhak refused to see him as an equal to those girls.
Geonhak yelled in pain when Dongju reached out for his hand, only taking it to bite right into it. Letting go after a few seconds, Dongju regarded him with a fierce grin.

Outside was a tent, lit up by fairy lights, Seoho usually had inside his room all around the walls. He had dragged out some chairs, lots of blankets, pillows and a few sweets, as well as prepared a campfire. Keonhee was aware that Seoho must’ve done it in a rush but that made him even happier, considering the older man had done all of this for him, just so he’d feel safe and cozy.
Making sure Seoho had blown out the candles and put down the candle holder first, Keonhee threw his arms around his friend, pulling him into an embrace that Seoho tried to shrink away from almost immediately, struggling in the younger’s tight grip.

Noticing how worried Seoho seemed, as if he was about to take his question back and disappear, Dongju carefully reached over to tug on his sleeve, silently asking him to come closer. For once the older man complied, slowly inching closer so that Dongju could lean against his shoulder.
“I can keep a secret, yes. But only if you’re comfortable telling me. I can wait, too, if you’d rather think about it again.”
“No, I think… I think if I don’t tell you now, I just never will. So here goes nothing…”

Like 1: They offered the needed support silently in the way they wouldn’t leave his side until they hit the stage, smiling reassuringly and again reminding him they would be doing this together.
Like 2: He really did feel better now and was glad the younger had apparently kept an eye on him, considering he had followed him instantly and even called their Hyung.
Like 3: He smiled to himself, unbeknownst to his friends. The three of them could really count on each other it seemed, no matter what was wrong, they would be there for him as he would be for them.

What? Had his rival just really brought up the nerve to ask him, Lee Seoho, to be his boyfriend when he was already in a relationship? And even if Seoho ignored the whole rival and girlfriend thing, which person with common sense would start a conversation this way after not seeing each other for years? The cherry on top was how unbothered Geonhak seemed to be.

After all, the young man really was a walking and breathing lucky charm. Even when some sort of misfortune fell upon him, it had always sorted itself out in the end, letting Seoho live a quiet and comfortable life. At this point of his life, he was even convinced it was some sort of superpower.

Summary
Had someone told Seoho at the beginning of the day that he would end up in bed with his best friend he would've laughed at them, flipped them off and forgotten about it soon afterwards.
After all, only some words which Geonhak had mumbled into his ear at some point during sex stuck in his head afterwards. The way he had spoken them like a secret he hadn't meant to spill still made Seoho shiver. It was an accusation of sorts, only just because it rang so true. “Maybe in time you'll want to be mine.”
