“You stick out like a sore thumb; you should probably invest in a cloak.” Eyes trailing the books till she found one that stuck out to her. It was a leather-bound book that had a giant golden ‘V’ plastered on it. That must be one of his own personal books, “I’d hate to tell the Order about an estraneo lurking about, V?” She would never, but he didn’t need to know that.
He followed her gaze to his book, “Your ability to read a title does not impress me.” His blue eyes met her brown ones. “But I’ll take your ‘advice’ as enough help,” He spat out the word ‘advice’ as if it had personally offended him.
In the beginning, in what would possibly be Rosalina's last months. She watches Vergil leave, unable to bring herself to stop him. Then finds herself living through old memories as she sleeps.
In the present, Nero chases a boy in his dreams who has answers to questions he didn’t know he wanted, while Vergil tries to tie memories together of a woman he wishes he could let go of.

Summary
Instead of being eight, Eva was killed when Dante and Vergil were just babies. And instead of killing them, Mundus has a different idea.
Raise them under his watchful eyes.
Eighteen years pass, and the boys are sent on a mission with one goal: Kill all the humans that have infiltrated the Underworld. However, things go wrong, and Vergil finds himself on an island that worships the very demon he's been taught to hate for all his life.
It's only luck that he gains a mysterious sword, and meets someone that'll help him understand that he's not who he was raised to be.

Summary
Finally released from his shackles, Vergil returned to the human world as a shell of what he once was sooner than one would expect. Following the power of Yamato, he reaches Devil May Cry and finds himself entangled in family business, filled with a sense of normalcy he was unsure how to deal with.
He was definitely not aware of all the obligations that came with being a proper citizen of human society.
