Summary
It was warm. The scent of spring flowers wafted in the air. Sounds of life such as people talking and dogs barking could be heard. A soft wind could be felt, curling lazily around the branches and making them sway to follow its gentle rhythm.
Kaiser looked out the car that was driving him. Gaze drifting and taking in all the cherry blossoms and blooming flowers along with all the passerby.
They were all so different from the usual hustle and bustle of Berlin and other big German cities to the point it almost, keyword almost, made Kaiser overwhelmed.

Summary
When college let out and Isagi returned home for the summer, his parents informed him that he wasn’t to spend summer at home this year.
Isagi was being sent away to his grandparents’ home. Their home was in a small town far out from any of the cities.
His parents reasoning behind this was, “You need a break from all the pressures of city life,” and “School was hard for you this year. Spending some time out in the open helping your grandparents will do you some good!”
Now, it wasn’t that Isagi hated the idea of spending time with his grandparents. Even though he didn't particularly like them. Rather, it was the issue of where they lived. The smalltown they resided in was always rainy and overall, just glum. He would much rather spend his time in the city and occasionally go to the beach with his friends than stay somewhere that was wet all the time.
However, Isagi’s summer was about to get much more dramatic than he would have ever anticipated. With the introduction of many new people into his life. His view on his grandparents' dingy town on the outskirts of Japan was going to change.Bookmarked by Rric3e

Summary
“…Are you mad at me?”
Ryuusei was silent for a moment before slowly shaking his head. “No,” he admitted quietly. “I’m hurt.”
“And it’s probably gonna take me a while to forgive you for hiding something this big from me.”
Guilt twisted painfully inside Sae’s chest. “I know,” he whispered. “I’m sorry.”
Ryuusei sighed quietly before reaching over and pulling Sae’s hand into his own. “But I’m still here,” he murmured. “And I’m still gonna take care of you through all of this.”
Sae finally reveals he's secretly had leukemia since he was sixteen. (basically what would happen if Sae lived instead of dying after Before the Morning Came)

Summary
There are things Sae never says out loud. Like how some nights, he still feels hands that weren’t his. How warmth once meant vulnerability—and vulnerability meant losing something he didn’t know could be taken. He was too young to understand it then—what it meant, what it did, what it stole. But now, he feels it everywhere. In the way he avoids mirrors. In the way he stiffens when someone walks too close. In the way his skin never quite feels like it belongs to him. He remembers what it’s like to be powerless. To be used. To flinch and pretend he didn’t. Kindness doesn’t come easy anymore. But he’s learning. Slowly. Painfully. Shidou doesn’t ask questions. He just stays—loud, steady, present—again and again, until Sae stops bracing for the worst. And maybe, in the spaces between silence and touch, Sae learns what it feels like to be safe. Maybe, even, what it means to be loved.
