    The last thing Kazui remembers is sitting in Kashiki's cell after a month of his interrogation with the warden.

    His confusion comes to a stop as he hears a familiar voice, innocent and sweet, yet it brings him so much pain to remember.

    "Hey? Kazui-san? Are you alright?"

    Kazui looks straight to where the voice is coming from.

    Instead of familiar eyes, ghost? eyes meet his own.

    What if fate wasn't so cruel? What if he just waited a little while longer? What if he could hold her one more time — alive and warm, and not cradle a cold, lifeless body with blood pooled underneath his feet?

    Kazui finally removed his hands from his tear-stricken face and walked towards the closed door in front of him, head dazed. Someone continues to call out to him in vain, the pained voice managing to spear through his dark thoughts like a ripple through water. Gritting his teeth, he closed his eyes and turned the knob, unable to bear the horrified yells from his loved one any longer.

    Hadn't he hurt her enough?
