Summary
In all his years of service to the king, Diluc thought he’d been asked to do a little of everything. From running missions to escort nobles back to the borders of other countries to finding lost cats, he thought he’d been asked to do a little of everything over the years. As the threat of war against Snezhnaya looms on the horizon he finds out that there’s still quite a few things he hasn’t been asked to do before. The king sends him as an envoy to ask if Khaenri’ah will side with Mondstadt in the imminent war against Snezhnaya and for the first time since joining the knights he realizes he might have been sent on an impossible mission as soon as he realizes that his king sent him as not as a knight but as a potential bride for the Khaenri’ahn king.
After all, Kaeya’s well known for rejecting any potential marriage proposals and Diluc knows he’s not really what people consider ‘wife material’.
