  So...
  Delilah needs something, someone, to watch over the toons' mentality and behaviour. To keep them in line, keep them in the molds written afore.
  So you were created, made to be their 'assistant', to be the controlled(or controlling) strings that keep the toons connected.
  Of course, you fulfil your purpose well, as expected of The Perfect Therapist that she intended you to be.
  Beside keeping and taking care of the toons' mental health, you may have accidentally.. caused some side-effects to your fellow friends. Something that makes them feeling fluffy and warm all over...!
