Summary
Phainon pays before taking the bags from the girl, sending her a grateful smile and turning on his heel to search for Mydei. He liked to wander around more often, curious to study other families and learn. Phainons chest swells in pride, excited beyond belief. Everything is perfect, more so when he spots Mydei with a group of children. He bounds over with a grin, looking over his shoulder.
Mydeis gaze is warm, a smile dancing upon his beautiful lips. The children are curious, patting soft and curiously at his swollen belly. Much more pronounced at five months. His spouse indulges, letting them lay their own tiny palms to feel for where the babies kick. And Phainon can’t help another swell of pride. One day, their girls will be that size. Small but curious, tiny palms reaching to touch what catches their fancy. Running on their wobbly little legs, Phainon chasing after them at a playfully slow pace, Mydei baking them treats from the outside kitchen Phainon had built before they got married. Whatever daze he had gone into, Mydei pushes him out of it with an elbow to his ribs once the children scurry off.
