It was a dark and stormy day in Derry, Maine. In fact the town hadn’t seen a storm this bad since 1988. Now it was the fall of 1992 and Richie Tozier and Eddie Kaspbrack were walking home from school when the rain started coming down in sheets.

Summary
After the rest of their party disappears into the city on their next quest to bring down the Absolute, Astarion and Gale find themselves stranded in the Elfsong Tavern with nothing to do except needle at one another.
Their teasing banter detours into personal terrain when the vampire discovers Gale’s divine tryst with Mystra was purely spiritual, and that his physical body has never known the touch of a lover. Intrigued by the thought of seducing a mortal virgin, Astarion proposes filling in the gaps of Gale’s education.

From that moment on, he became a terrible creature, the outward manifestation of the worst parts of himself. The city fell, overrun with cursed monsters. And a clock began ticking down. If, within a century, the creature that had once been Verso could find his soulmate, he would be returned to life. The year is 1904, in Lumiere - society is heavily based around art and artists, in an attempt to try and get the royal family back. Anyone who falls outside that category is simply an outcast. In a family of well-respected writers: Gustave Auclair, an engineer, and his little sister, Maelle, a swordswoman, fall into that category of misfits. Not that they mind, they have their supportive family, as well as each other. What more could they want?
Verso Dessendre, the cursed and lost prince of Lumiere, only has six months to rid his family of the curse that had been set upon them by a sorceress ten years ago. Otherwise, on his 33rd birthday, his whole cursed family will turn to stone. They all had their faults, there were many reasons they were cursed, but Verso in particular has the hardest task of all: to take back a lie he had said. To care and love someone, and have that care and love reciprocated. After an Earthquake and subsequent fracture, their castle broke apart from the main country, forming their own little continent. They hadn't seen a real person in a decade.
It was hopeless... right?

Gustave Chevalier did not know what to expect of that tutoring job offer. But then again, it wasn't as if he had an avenue of options left out for him either, so all he could do was to make the best out of it and see where this will lead him to.
But getting his life completly turned upside down wasn't among any of them ideas he had in mind.
