Piratekit tossed and turned uncomfortably in the bottom bunk of the bed while his crewmate snored louder than the rest. His mind had been wandering all day, unable to think straight ever since they found the treasure earlier. He was always the most disliked in the crew, only kept around to heal the others in case of emergency or just small bruises. He was always the last for everything, paired up with the people he disliked the most, always given less than the others.

Summary
Dave really underestimated Trevor's influence over Michael. In my headcanon, the whole reason Dave kept Trevor around was because he hoped- or thought -that Michael would keep Trevor under control. Following my other comics, Dave is aware of the complicated relationship between Michael and Trevor, but he probably didn’t fully grasp how bad it was, seeing as he’s only heard one side of it.
He’s frustrated here because he can see that Michael is potentially reverting back to his old, uncontrollable self. And if Michael goes down by getting arrested, Dave goes down with him. His leash is starting to slip.

Summary
Being in this god damn tin can in Sandy Shores could only be remedied by Trevor's apparent constant supply of anything to keep reality at bay. The world could pause with the right mix, and with the right space it didn't matter. This space was ample with "it doesn't matter." In some ways, it was home. Took Michael back years to places seedier and worse, to endless winters rather than his own endless summer in L.S.
