Summary
Part 2 of the Threadverse (following You Don't Know What You've Got). Based on a challenge by Ubikoctober.
Here we go again. This story was majorly helped out of its wounded and wallowing WIP state by trevino, who beta reads with an eagle eye.Buffy, after being sent back in time from February 2002 to December 1998, had begun to feel comfortable. Faith and Anya are in on her time-travel secret, the Mayor didn't eat anyone at Graduation, and she was the one who ended it with Angel. But her simmering worry about The Initiative comes to a boil when Faith disappears, leaving her once again the only slayer on the Hellmouth. Her knowledge of one possible future begins to feel insufficient as more events shift, knocking into each other like dominoes until even her best-laid plans seem destined to fail.
And of course, the vampire who has been pestering her subconscious shows up to do it in real life. An alliance she once took for granted (okay, took for annoying and unavoidable) must be built in her new life, and the clock is ticking to get to the bottom of the ever more sinister plans of Maggie Walsh.
