Summary
You and Ryland have been living on Erid for years in domestic bliss. After much discussion, you and Ryland agree that you want to start a family, something more than just yourselves. However, after the events that took place before arriving at your new home, you are unable to have your own children. You come to terms with the fact, but you can't help but yearn for expanding your family. These feelings are expressed to both Rocky and Adrian in passing, who remember everything.
Later, after an accident happens on Erid, Rocky and Adrian arrive at your doorstep with a baby Eridian whose parents were lost in the accident. You and Ryland, of course, take the baby pebble and take care of it like one of your own children.
You and Ryland proceed to go through the life of being newborn parents who truly, have no idea what they are doing.

Summary
You and Ryland have never been apart often, so when he has to leave for some sort of 'project', it's a bit hard on both of you.
You both manage by having your daily phone calls. However, one day you get a call from Ryland that's a bit earlier than usual, which isn't too out of routine to be concerning. It's only when you listen to what is coming from his end of the call that you understand what's going on.

Summary
Nobody likes a teacher's pet, especially not when the teacher is actually the world dictator, and the pet is her uptight right hand.
Some would say it was the will of an ironic god that put me up there in space with an actual teacher, and no less desperation to be wanted. What embarrassment unfolds takes me apart bit by bit — comparing which pieces of Stratt no longer fit, and replaces them with xenonite fragments of Ryland Grace.

Grace and Rocky were not strangers to intimacy. They've had their fair share of "scientific explorations." But when Grace's strength and body started to deteriorate during the trip to Erid, they stopped those intimate explorations. He had to get better before he or his body wanted anything to do with sex.
But now on Erid, Grace is happy and relatively healthy, no longer a massive concern. Adrian and Rocky want to finally start the family they always wanted, and they want to include Grace as well.
The thing is: Grace doesn't want to touch or be touched.
He just really, really wants to watch.

“No. No see. View inhibited. Move obstructing parts.”
My face heats instantly and I feel the flush travel down my neck and chest. I shake my head. “No, Rock, I’m not—I’m not spreading my cheeks for you just so you can stare at my, stare at my—” I cut myself off and move to turn back around.
“Grace.” Rocky’s voice has lowered to the near threshold of my capacity to discern it. I feel the word more than I can hear it, the vibrations rocking through me and making me gasp with its intensity. “Show.”
or, alternatively: rocky and grace finally get down and freaky with it-- wherein grace shows hole and rocky has a revelation.
