    Lettuce saw the blood.
    It was everywhere.
    On his hands, on his armour, on his weapons and his tools everything and anything that he touched-
    He rubbed his skin raw trying to wash it off, his previously lustrous fur dull and faded from the guilt.
    but it never left.

    Wemmbu lifted his head as far up as he could.
    And through a weak, gravelly voice, whispered as loud as he could (not very loud), pushing through the pain.
    “I’m sorry.”
    (whoever said the dead couldn’t speak was wrong.)

    OR

    Wemmbu thought he could let go of his past.
    Lettuce showed him why that was wrong.

    Lettuce wanted Wemmbu to finally feel the consequences of what he's done.
