“They’re gonna remember this,” Eddie murmurs.
“What, the pizza?” Steve asks.
“The noise,” Eddie says. “The posters. The music. Us.”
Steve glances at him, at the kids shouting over dice, at Robin and Nancy laughing into each other’s shoulders. He feels the shadows pressing at the windows but not breaking through. Not tonight.
“Yeah,” he says, and leans into Eddie’s side. “They will.”
