Summary
In the candlelight, she wondered how much of her he could see. Hers was a body thirty years lived-in; could he find the scar that marred her left knee, or the smattering of freckles across her ribs? The deep bruising on her thigh and the dark angry welt on her cheek?
She could see him. For a flickering moment, she could see all of him.
He swallowed, taking a deep breath that stuttered in his throat, then placed his hands along the small of her back to draw her closer. The uncertainty in his eyes hadn’t gone away, though it had retreated back and allowed something else to take its place. Perhaps it never would disappear, not truly. Maybe it always circled, loping and low. When she leaned down to kiss him, she could taste the blood on its teeth.

“Hell yeah, okay,” he purred while reviewing the next portion of the sign. He would later teach her the more specific motions for certain words but for now, cold fish would work just fine for Taiyaki. “This is cold,” he said while clenching his fists and shaking them slightly, as if he was shivering. Repeating the action a few times until she tried it out for herself. “Now together, cold fish, is Taiyaki. Got it?” He questioned, doing the two signs a few times until she, again, did them for herself.
Seeing the omega do her best to follow his motions made his heart swell with fondness and he patted her head with a rumbling purr moving his hand down to her cheek where she seemed to cuddle into it. And if she hadn’t been cute before she’d definitely just jumped up at least five levels with that little action.

Summary
Iris, a mutant with the ability to heal others and advanced strength, has been running from her mutant abilities for a long time. Everything changes when she is offered a place with the X-Men. She settles into her place amongst the other mutants very quickly. On a routine mission, Magneto witnesses her using her healing abilities, and decides he wants her on his side. He'll do whatever he can to get her.
Fair amount of the plot will be focused on the relationship between Iris and Logan :)
