Summary
Of all the teachers at Heywood Public High, Mr. Linder probably holds the title of having the most rumours. How he lost his arm in the war - totally blown to shreds, most of the students reckon. Some argue it was dismembered while he was being tortured for information by Arasaka. That’s why he hates Arasaka so much, clearly. Another rumour would be that he used to be a famous rock star called Johnny Silverhand. But nobody could prove it. But by far, the most popular rumour was the speculation of what was going on between him and the music teacher, Mr Eurodyne. They’re at each other’s throats every time they’re in the same room together, but then some report spotting them sipping bad coffee together at Caliente’s down the street at lunch times.
The only time they ever seem to get along is during the school’s annual showcase. And even that’s got its rumours. Word is, they’re planning budget cuts on the creative programs around the school. Mr Linder isn’t letting this fly. He says it ‘stifles the student’s voices in the community’.OR:

Summary
Steve had a bad feeling, and this wasn't the first time it had happened.
For as long as he could remember, he had always had hunches. Hunches about events that hadn't even happened yet but warned him before the shoe could drop. He was used to them. To the bad omens. To the anxiety they brought.
Maybe, that's why he was as tense as a coiled spring when they entered Hawkins Lab, as gray as decayed as the rest of the Upside Down. But not even a hunch could have prepared him for what happened that day. He couldn't have braced himself for the party splitting up. He couldn't have braced himself for an argument with Dustin, much less the boy's violent reaction at him bringing Eddie into the conversation.
He couldn't have expected to crack his head open into the ground, nor the world that waited for him when he opened his eyes once again. Neither the spider that bit him, or the powers that would later bring him.
And when this peculiar world welcomed him, he couldn't help but wonder.
Was that Munson? In a big sign? Wearing a hero-like costume?
And why on Earth was he blond?

Johnny and V manage the impossible: they're both alive and healthy at no immediate risk of death. Good news all around with a caveat - there are complications that come with returning from the dead.
Kerry bought up all the rights to Johnny's music and biometric data after the AHQ bombing but returning those rights turns out to be legally complicated. In short, the easiest way to do it is for them to get married with a prenup that gives Johnny his stuff back when they divorce.
Because of course they will at the end of the legally required 31 days. ... Right?
