    Summary

“I already told you,” Hank shot. “I don’t have time--”

Hank had just enough time to see a shiny black boot fall to the roller board between his legs before he found himself dragged out from under the chassis and into the bright light of the garage proper. He threw a hand over his eyes, shielding himself from the piercing fluorescents. It wasn’t enough to block out the leather clad man hovering over him, though. Great. Just fucking great.

Connor stood over him with his foot still on the board, a goofy ass grin on his face and his motorcycle helmet propped on his hip. “Hello there, Hank,” he greeted, bending over to look at him properly. “I’d like to ask you to reconsider. I really need the work done today.”

“Yeah,” Hank grunted, shoving himself upright. Connor was wearing his leather riding suit still, so that probably meant he’d come straight here from the tracks. Wonderful, that. It meant he wasn’t likely to have much going on for the rest of the afternoon, and therefore would be even harder to kick out. Hank sighed. “I just bet you do.”

    Summary

Gavin grunts and spits on the carpet, still on all fours. He leans back, looks up to RK900 and, for the second time in the short time he’s known it, Gavin stops to chew on how much he despises that the android was designed to be taller than he is. It has gone back to its trademark hand-joined-at-its-back posture, composed as ever and without so much as a scratch.
There is, however, a strange glint to its steely eyes, and one of its eyebrows is set slightly higher than the other.
‘I’m looking forward to seeing you at the DPD on Thursday, detective.'

After Lt Anderson’s sudden resignation, Detective Gavin Reed has had his hands full with cases of deviancy. Tasked with finding the rogue machines and turning them to scrap metal alloy, he’s always worked better alone. This time, however, he’s been assigned a partner: RK900, the most advanced android prototype to date.

Canon-divergent AU in which Connor failed his mission, the android revolution is simmering slowly across the city slums and it's up to everyone's favorite disaster partners to prevent shit from hitting the fan (if they're not too busy with their mutual pining and being in denial about it).

    Summary

Eventually this was going to be a problem. Eventually Nines would want some sort of indication that Gavin had either enjoyed himself, which he had, or was too confused to manage what was going on, which he was, or regretted everything, which he didn't. And, no matter how many dark jokes Gavin made at Nines about him being plastic or a robot or an object, neither of them thought that it was true and neither of them thought the other thought that it was true so they were going to have to talk about it.

    Summary

"And don't get me started on that fucking cable car," Jeffrey growled. "I can't believe no one warned us about it. Thought we would fall straight to our deaths there."

Ben shuddered. "Don't say stuff like that. I read this big news article about two sisters who got lost on this mountain, years ago." He spread his hands, and Hank and Jeffrey leaned closer. "They probably fell into the mines surrounding the place. But I don't know, no one found the bodies, and apparently there had been this creepy guy stalking the place after–"

Okay,  Hank stopped listening right there. He'd much rather watch through the round window of the kitchen door, back to where Connor was chatting to a coworker on the couch. He hummed when Jeffrey commented on something Ben said, still focused on Connor. Fuck, he'd never ever get through this weekend like this. It was torture to pretend like he didn't want to lock himself in a room with Connor and not step outside until they were going home.
