Summary
The year is 1800 something, England. You have just inherited the Valdivian estate of a distant uncle of yours. However, due to law and you being a woman, you cannot publicly claim the house as your own; otherwise, you'd be forced into a marriage with no input of your own, so you must remain inside as often as possible to avoid word getting out. Thankfully, the servants of the house are a friendly bunch, ensuring your solitude is anything but lonely. However, letters of love started appearing in your window from a secret admirer. You aren't sure who it could be, but you have taken a liking to the attention. But even as your heart leans toward your mysterious poet, your gaze keeps straying to another. A timid chimney sweeper who can scarcely meet your eyes, let alone speak a word, yet something in his awkwardness charms you. The more he recoils, the more you find yourself drawn in, unbeknownst to the secret he holds.
