Summary
Lance’s posture has gone from somewhat respectable to bad to worse, and his attention span is slowly but surely reaching its breaking point, when the door in the back of the room slides open.
Blue and gray and black. Long, dark hair. A familiar set of eyes. The same faded scar carved along his cheek.
Lance jerks upright, nearly jumping out of his chair.
“I’m filling in for Kolivan.”
The words strike right through Lance’s sternum. And he didn’t even have his defenses up. He didn’t have time to prepare.
Although somewhere deep down, he knows that no time in the world could’ve prepared him for seeing Keith again.

Summary
The most handsome man Lance had ever laid eyes on, smiling wanly at him from the doorway, his red and white paladin armour scuffed and dirty, but still somehow shining.
Lance smiled back, his body sunken into the soft sheets and pillows that covered their bed, watching as Keith moved away from the doorway, his shape partially obscured by the gauzy hangings of their four-poster.
Lance’s legs were bare, exposed from shorts that had ridden too high up his legs. He’d fallen victim to the slight chill of the draughty castle, but it was a small price to pay for the lingering gaze of his fiance’s eyes, one glove-covered hand wrapped fully around his ankle, thumb rubbing back and forth over the jut of the bone.
“Hey, pretty,” Keith murmured.

Keith raises an eyebrow. “Are you informing me that you’re going to cheat?” he says, seeming somehow amused and disapproving at the same time.
Lance widens his eyes, trying to look innocent. “Cheat?” he says. “No! I always earn my grades.”
“Well, then I don’t see why I wouldn’t approve,” Keith says.
Lance wipes his palms on his thighs, nervous. And then he stands, planting his hands on the desk and leaning over it, toward Keith. “I promise to do my best,” he says, his voice low and sensual. “Sir,” he adds.
Or: It's the last class Lance needs to graduate, but it's hard. He has an idea of how he might be able to pass, though.
