“Fuck you!” Astarion snarled into the mess of newly spilled blood. It tasted dead and sour; a bite to match that deep, satisfying pressure in his jaws, and to wash away the residue of sweet stickiness those sugared fruits left on his tongue. There he remained, draining their ancient rotten veins until there was nothing left but the mouthful he spat in their face.
