Summary
To his left, a cluster of young men, barely old enough to be in here, were living their lives through their phone screens. They preened and posed, muscles straining against designer t-shirts, capturing manufactured moments of joy for an audience that wasn't here. Buck felt a surge of contempt so sharp and sudden it almost made him flinch. He’d been that young once, though his own brand of youthful idiocy had also involved running into burning buildings, not just perfecting a pout for Instagram.
To his right, a group of older men, their faces a roadmap of past disappointments, watched the younger crowd with a hungry, almost predatory nostalgia. They were looking for a night, an hour, a few minutes to feel like the men they used to be. Buck looked away. He was thirty-four, caught in the no-man’s-land between the two, and felt an uncomfortable kinship with both groups that made his skin crawl.
This was a mistake. He should have stayed home.

Summary
“That’s an interesting attitude for someone so tired, baby,” Buck chuckles, letting Eddie continue to grind, running a hand through his hair, “Y’know what I think?”
“What?” Eddie pouts, sounding like a little kid. His attempts at goading Buck weren't working and his movements weren’t getting him any closer to what he wanted. He knows this stand off is going to end soon, with Eddie only getting what he wants when he finds the courage to ask for it.
“You’re too embarrassed to ask for what you want, so you’re acting out instead.” Buck states, running his hands up and down Eddie’s stomach, never going down far enough to touch him where Eddie truly wants it.
“Buck,” Eddie whines, knowing he lost the fight already. That might be a record for how fast Buck has made him fold, “Please, please, please.”
“Please what, Eddie?” Buck teases, already well aware of what Eddie wanted, “Use your words, baby.”
After a shift leaves Eddie exhausted, Buck is there to catch him and take care of Eddie, giving him exactly what he needs: a safe place to let go of his control.

San blushes all the way down his neck, nibbling on his bottom lip as Hongjoong looks at him like he’s the only person in the entire world.
“Honest answer?”
Hongjoong laughs again, slowly moving to sit on the edge of his bed. San aches for Hongjoong to touch him, anywhere.
“I think I deserve honesty after the way I found you in my room.” Hongjoong arches a perfectly manicured brow down at the hybrid, watching intently the way San is shifting on his stomach, thighs squeezing together. And well, San really can’t argue with that logic whatsoever. And if it ruins his friendship with Hongjoong, surely he’ll be able to find another place to live. Hopefully.
Hongjoong finds an unexpected guest in his bedroom when he comes home.

“Y-Yes, I… I liked what I saw.” San squirms in his spot, shifting his weight from foot to foot as Wooyoung stares at him, an unreadable expression currently painting his face. San prides himself on the fact that he can read Wooyoung like an open book, but right now, it scares him that he has no idea what his best friend is currently thinking.
“Good boy, was that so hard?” This time it’s Giselle’s voice, and San practically shivers all the way down to his core at the praise. Both she and Wooyoung clock it, and the two of them share a little look that San does not get the privilege of being a part of.
San goes looking for his two best friends at a party, and finds way more than he bargained for.
