“So, I may have slightly misread the spell? I thought it sends pleasant dreams, but it actually sends pleasure dreams. And it sort of created a link between us so that every time you have a sex dream—which is often, apparently—I can see it.”
Arthur stared for a long while. When he spoke, it was in a careful diction, each word enunciated clearly. “You are an idiot.”

Summary
Merlin spent the week and a half that Arthur was gone splitting his time between crafting careful explanations that never ended up explaining the important things, the things that would make Arthur listen, and making half-baked plans to escape to Ealdor. He found a number of fire-proofing spells that would have no effect if they decided to cut his head off, and figured out how to adapt an invulnerability spell he had been trying to find a way to cast on Arthur without him noticing so that it would protect him from being decapitated, but it would have no effect on anything but metal. Despite all his frantic searching, he did not find a teleportation spell, because that would have been too simple and if there was one thing Merlin had learned in his years at Camelot, it was that nothing was ever simple.

Summary
Merlin and Arthur encounter a group of rogue Druids who seem to have targeted Arthur, forcing Merlin to take action to protect the King. Unfortunately Merlin’s magic has unexpected results and things don’t play out quite the way Merlin expects them to. Arthur, meanwhile, steps into a role that goes against everything he is, and sticking with it might just prove to be the most challenging thing he’s ever done. Summary
In his paranoia after Morgana’s betrayal, Uther is convinced the outer kingdoms are falling into magical ways again. Arthur is sent with his knights to the far kingdom of Deira, to check if their alliance with Camelot is still in place. During the trip there, Arthur learns that Merlin is keeping very important things from him.
But Deira has been cursed with something so terrible that only the Once and Future King can lift it. Arthur wishes to help. Things get even more complicated when Merlin saves Arthur and King Yffi from a falling tower that might have killed not just them, but a lot of children. Not his good intentions, nor the fact that he’s Arthur’s manservant, will save him from the pyre.
