Summary
His Mom smiles at him with a knowing look, and Jonathan has an arch to his brow like he wants to ask more – but before either can, there’s the sound of a thud.
Will’s smile falls into his stomach. It wrenches with fear, with horror.
All three look to the entrance of the lounge, the direction of the thud.
“Shit,” says someone out of sight, just beyond the entrance, almost too soft to catch.
Will’s blood runs cold, because he knows that voice, knows the specific lilt of it.
“Mike?"
Or, Will comes out on his own terms, to the two people who truly matter - and is overheard by the one other person who means the most. In wake of the revelation, they decide to split off and take the final battle with Vecna into their own hands, all while navigating the undeniable pull that grows between them.

Summary
This Byler series is inspired by a lyric from “Merry Christmas, Please Don’t Call” by the Bleachers. Chapters are fully fleshed out with feelings, yearning, and very much written with my whole heart. Expect non-traditional Mike Wheeler characterisation, internalised homophobia/LGBTQIA+ themes, religious guilt, and plenty of pop culture references.
Pls enjoy, and take note of the time stamps :)

Summary
Mike regrets not grabbing a second jacket.
The air in the Upside-Down tastes like church confession-booths. Murray's van is freezing, and his skin feels like it's burning, like one of those Sunday-school devils, horned, red and evil, are crawling under his epidermis and scratching at his nerves with a pitchfork.
Time stamp; Stranger Things Season 5, Episode 7 (The Bridge)
Author's Note: This is the sequel to “to the tempo of your uptight”. Highly recommended to read part 1 first. Cannot be read as a standalone.

Summary
The second funeral is worse than the first one.
They’re standing around the same plot of dirt, lowering another small coffin into the ground, throwing more yellow roses in the grave. There’s no crowd of people in the second funeral—no Jennifer Hayeses to fake cry over a boy she barely knew, no Lonnie Byerses to smoke cigarettes in the corner and snuff them out on the priest’s podium. There was hardly a priest at all, this time around.
He thinks it’s for the better. Mike doesn’t think God deserves to guide Will to his afterlife when He couldn’t even guide him back to Mike.
There’s blinks of moments between before and after. Before Will was lowered, and after it.
Mike barely feels any of it.
(or, the one where will byers never makes it home after 1983, and mike wheeler feels like a piece of him never did, either.)
