Summary
It's the first winter after Pitch's defeat. Jack is happy, he's not alone anymore, and his memories are gradually returning. But when a treasure hunt gone wrong puts Jack and Jamie in danger, flinging them through time and space, they find themselves on an island neither of them have heard of before. Jack's first priority is to get Jamie home safe, but Berk's inhabitants - human and otherwise - are certainly not making it easy.
Knowing they will leave Berk and the Vikings behind as soon as they know how to, Jack is not going to risk the pain of growing close to any of these people (or dragons, for that matter). But Hiccup Horrendous Haddock, wearing his heart on his sleeve, doesn't seem to want to take the hint.

Summary
While patrolling his region, Kyojuro finds and kills a demon. Nothing unusual, except this one has left something behind. A little half-demon girl has now been orphaned, and Kyojuro has no idea what to do with her.
Not that he has much time to decide, because Akaza is quick to declare that he will take her. Not that he cares about the brat, but he knows Kyojuro will be quick to pay more attention to him if this little girl is involved. The slayer will have to engage with him, if only to make sure the kid is still breathing.
Horrified but unable to stop Akaza, Kyojuro has no choice but to go along with the arrangement. He can only hope he manages to get the girl away from Akaza before it's too late and she ends up a monster in every sense of the word.

Or the one where human!Alastor meets the literal devil after a summoning gone wrong, refuses to believe it, and accidentally ends up playing house with Lucifer for the next six years of his highly unconventional life until his own inevitable demise in 1933.

Summary
A random villain-of-the-week makes Robert late for work. It's only by a few minutes, yet the encounter that hardly lasted a few seconds instills a sudden chill in Robert's bones. Its persistence is matched only by the Z-Team's stubbornness as they force their dispatcher to join them in activities they think will warm him up.
But none of it matters if Robert can't learn to believe he'll ever be warm again... or that he deserves the warmth this team brings him.
