Summary
It doesn't matter what Kaveh does in his spare time. Really, it doesn't. If he wants to present his ass to every man that gropes it, that's on him. If he wants to stay up all night and work on commissions, or puke himself sick from all the liquor he drinks, or sleep on the divan all day—Alhaitham doesn't care. The issue is when it becomes a tangible reality, when Alhaitham runs into one of Kaveh's one-night-stands sneaking out of his house in the morning, or casually drinking his coffee in his kitchen, or moaning too loud for their too-quiet house.
The issue is when it becomes real and no longer an ignorable fact—when he is brought to realization that Kaveh is not interested in him and only in the easiest lays he can manage.
kaveh comes home drunk with a stranger. alhaitham is fed up with how it bruises him, and he makes the foolish mistake of letting kaveh know exactly how he makes him feel.

Summary
A Voices of the Void x Genshin AU.
Kaveh's life has been a mess for years; he's been struggling to pay off his debts by picking up odd jobs from the Head Master of the Akademiya, Azar. The newest offer Azar gives him sounds too good to be true; the pay is well into the six-digit range with full expenses paid for travel and food, and he's promised it should only last a few weeks. The catch? It's in Nod-Krai, and the location is run by the Kuuvahki Experimental Design Bureau, not the Akademiya. Desperate for the money, Kaveh reluctantly agrees.
Upon arriving at the array, Kaveh learns he signed up for a lot more than he agreed to when he finds out the Alpha base is abandoned and trashed, and the last researcher was spirited away without a trace. He'll have to grin and bear the workload his new supervisor dumps on him, along with the expectations of the Akademiya, if he hopes to get back to Sumeru on one piece. If he can manage to fight the sheer loneliness and his own inner demons, he can leave Nod-Krai in a better state than he arrived and give himself the life he wants.
But of course, this is a big forest with a lot of secrets. Is he truly alone out here?

Summary
“Never?” He repeated.
“What? Does that surprise you, Doc?”
Ratio tried to process everything, Aventurine just pulled the stem off of the cherry like it meant nothing, then it placed it between his teeth. “It’s not that groundbreaking, is it? I mean,” His eyes watched as it kept poking between his lips, before he continued. “If I just do it for work, then who really cares if I finish or not.”
“But Gambler,” He could feel himself get grey hairs because of him, “You do it all the time. For work.”
Aventurine shrugged, “I don't think I'm missing out much. Like, don't get me wrong. I’ve gotten close a few times but why waste my own time, yaknow?” Right as he finished speaking Aventurine spit the tied cherry stem into his martini glass. “I wouldn't want it becoming a bad habit now, would I.”
Or; Dr. Ratio helps Aventurine have an orgasm.

Summary
Aventurine isn't necessarily 'human', not by the IPC's definition, at least, but he certainly fits in well pretending to be one. It's been over a decade since he last bore the insectoid wings of the Avgin people, having never regrown them last time he molted. Since then, he's simply accepted that part of himself must be gone, another piece lost among the horrors of his past.
That is, at least, until his metamorphosis randomly kicks in during a diplomatic mission to a distant desert planet.
He tries to shrug it off, to let it slide right off his back and continue with his work unhindered, but a lot has changed since the days of his childhood. As a grown adult, his yearly metamorphosis cycle means a lot more than just growing in a fresh pair of colorful wings... as he's about to find out the hard way.

Summary
And despite that... Kaveh is… “Lovesick?”
Kaveh’s hands move to cover his face, palms muffling his words as he mutters, “It’s—not quite like that.”
“Well, the ‘sick’ aspect is accurate, at least.”
“No shit,” Kaveh snorts. “The ‘love’ component, though—it’s, uh—”
“You’re not in love?”
He coughs. “The greenhouse in my lungs begs to differ. I—it’s more that my body is mourning a love it knows can’t ever be requited.”
For all the negative feelings Alhaitham’s encountered over the past twelve hours, the sensation that creeps through him now is…
Unfamiliar.
Unknowable.
Despite all the languages he’s fluent in, Alhaitham is unable to conjure a word or phrase with which he can immediately label it. He just knows that whatever this feeling is, it’s unbelievably unpleasant. Like his body is stationary, yet his internal organs are plummeting into the Abyss.
“You love someone who doesn’t love you back?” he asks after a moment.
Kaveh has Hanahaki. That much is known. But who he loves, and whether Alhaitham will be able to save him, is up in the air.
(Haikavah vs. Hanahaki vs. A/B/O dynamics)

Summary
“This is childish.”
“I’m just asking if you want a turn on the pool float.”
“No, I do not want a turn on the pool float!” Ratio groans, exasperation spilling forth. “This is entirely unnecessary and immature—”
“Fine,” Aventurine interjects, effectively pausing the doctor’s tirade. “Then don’t. But you should know that the duck will be saddened by your rejection.” He throws Ratio a knowing glance. “As will I.”
Ratio exhales a weary breath, lifting a hand to signal a pause. He takes a moment to steady himself before coming to a decision.
“You are unbelievable,” he mutters beneath his breath. “Fine. I will try the damned thing.”
Following their tribulations in Penacony, Aventurine and Ratio receive an unexpected gift from Jade—a much-needed vacation at at the most exclusive resort in the cosmos.
With only each other, the sun, and the beach for company, it's a stark contrast to their everyday lives. As they struggle with the complicated shift in their relationship, a disappearance at the hotel, and the constant battle to keep their emotions in check, it all threatens to unravel completely.

Summary
Every child of Sumeru, from Gandharva Ville to Port Ormos, knows that the Dragon nests in the high branches of the Great Tree. The children chant among their skipping games of Rukkadevata, who tamed the great beast before it brought its grief and calamity to wither all the great jungle, of Little Lord Kusanali, daughter of the great goddess, to whom the beast only listens. Their parents gossip about the vast trove of knowledge, hidden in the boughs of the tree, far beyond the reach of any mortal scholar, where only the bravest and wisest may tread and come out alive.
Some old stories tell of scholars sent up in sacrifice to appease the Dragon’s anger, for when he is moved to fury, only the Dendro Archon can calm him, and when he is moved to sorrow, all the rivers flood and the jungle dies for his loneliness.

A fairy-tale-esque story about a beauty, a beast, and of course, about love. No roses necessary.

Summary
Usually, doing laundry was part of his mundane routine of chores made to be done before filtering on to more productive things with his life. Except now Kaveh is huffing one of Alhaitham's black skin-tight shirts like a mad scholar.
“What the hell?” he whispers into Alhaitham’s clothing as his nose tries to pinpoint the extra scent that emerges from the cloth. The scent was extremely weak, like an old coffee stain but to the architect it was very much there.
Kaveh always knew Alhaitham as a beta, it was easier living with a roommate that wasn’t affected by his heats or omegan scent. Lately though, things have been… different. The scent of deep woods and ground coffee have been budding and Kaveh has been noticing sudden small changes the scribe's behavior.

Summary
Alhaitham and Kaveh try to unlock a mystery machine that Cyno and Tighnari found outside of the city by combining their elemental energy, leading to... unexpected effects.
“Hm... dangerous?” Kaveh asked, tracing a line of text with his fingertip.
Alhaitham shook his head. “Not dangerous. Just... difficult. The one or two successful records are described as -” he hesitated as he scanned the opposite page quickly. Intimate. Overwhelming. Like two souls intertwining. He snapped the book shut before Kaveh could read that far and cleared his throat again, more gruffly this time. “- a challenge.”
Stretching his arms above his head, Kaveh set his wrench down on their coffee table and straightened. “Well, let’s try it. If it doesn’t work, we’ll stop. Simple.”

Summary
“Math?” And a published academic journal, at that?
“Yes.” Ratio returns the book to his bag, carrying on, but Aventurine’s stuck on the fact that this is apparently what he does in his free time outside of composing music.
“…I thought you were a pianist.”
“I am a pianist.”
“But– math?” Even Aventurine doesn’t spend that much time thinking about math, and he spends twelve hours a day staring at financial models.
“Does it not occur to you that it's possible to have more than one interest?”
Aventurine lives the same week on repeat: eighty hours of his soul-sucking high finance job, then two nights of dancing off the stress to the beat of his favorite anonymous DJ. His move into a luxury apartment building brings him next door to Ratio, an esteemed classical composer with a love for piano. Eager to make a good impression, Aventurine keeps his clubbing habit under wraps — but he’s not the only one hiding secrets under strobe lights.
