Summary
Dean doesn't remember this hunt. He doesn't remember the forest, he doesn't remember the time controlling monster. He only knows that once he and his father went into this forest and came out with nothing.
Now he stands on the other side and looks at the man he was, a twenty-five-year-old in his father's jacket, with a pistol at the ready. It's 2020, Sam and Cas are nearby, the hunt is on, time is short. And somewhere inside there is the understanding that after the end of the hunt, his father and younger Dean will go back to 2004 and will not remember any of this.

Summary
After battling a rebar and losing, Dean expects to finally rest peacefully in heaven -or, whatever it is Jack decided to do with the afterlife.
Instead, he finds himself reliving seemingly random moments from his life in a never ending loop. Thankfully, people from his past are there to be incredibly vague and unhelpful about why this is happening and what he needs to do in order to finally find peace.
