Summary

Basically a very self-indulgent fic about how hard it would be for Ilya to actually move on from the pain of the past and to go no contact with his family in a timeline where Grigori is still alive. Also, Ilya deserves to be known and loved by more people than just Shane and Sveta. Forced/Found Family here we come.

“Bro, you will not believe what just happened in the Raider locker room!” JJ finally shook off the others and crossed over to Shane and Hayden.
“How do you know what goes on in the Raider locker room?” Shane asked hesitantly. This couldn’t be good.
“I have sources everywhere, capítaine.”
Shane asked before he could chicken out and run over to the other locker room himself. “What happened? Is someone hurt?”
“Better!”
“Better?” Shane and Hayden both exclaimed at the same time. “How could that possibly be a good thing?”
“They’re the enemy, Hollander, come on.” JJ said it like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Oh no, please don’t let it be—
“It’s Rozanov bro!” JJ thrust his phone in their faces, “apparently his dad just busted in the locker rooms and started yelling at the guy!”
Or, Grigori Rozanov barges into the Raiders locker room and berates Ilya in front of his team. Protective Shane ensues.

Summary
After the cottage, an unexpected contract raise keeps Ilya in Boston for another year. This means Shane and Ilya are still rivals on the ice despite being boyfriends off it. When tensions raise during a game Shane gets angry, starting a fight with his man. It leaves Ilya too tired to fuck Shane after, and with the perfect opportunity to try something thats been on his mind for months.
