He’s always seen Enjin do it all the time. No matter what time of day or what he’s doing, a little white cylinder hangs off his bottom lip. The scent was always awful, yet always present, and it even became calming.
He’s also seen Enjin smoke them while he was injured, and it seemed to help him.

But not finding a single loose screw of setting himself free, he snooped through their drawers and found a pack of cigarettes, but his parents don't smoke.
After trying out a single stick during midnight, he immediately became hooked. As well as sneaking into his parents alcohol cabinet. Spiraling into additive smoking and alcoholism sends him running away from his family and initially country hopping over seas into California.
