Jon sends the fears far from Earth and flees London, leaving the others to assume the worst. He settles in a small village and opts to live there quietly until he dies, a self-imposed penance. This plan is foiled when the first former Avatar shows up - and Jon realizes that every domain-keeper in the apocalypse still has some faint connection to him.After a year of being a shoulder to cry on for confused and distraught former Avatars, Jon leads a moderately happy life. He has a flourishing garden, a cat, and some company. All of that comes crashing around his ears (or his head) when a familiar face shows up to his cabin, demanding answers.

“I guess.” He shrugged, fiddling with his fingers as he mulled the thought over, “I guess it got me worked up a bit, and it felt good.”
After a few seconds of silence, his constantly talking best friend having gone quiet, Zanka turned to look at him. He still laid with interested eyes, waiting for Zanka to continue. When he did not, he waved his hand in gesture to continue, “But?”
“But,” Zanka sighed, annoyance slowly pooling in his overworked brain, “I couldn’t come.”
“You—“ Jabber cracked a small, almost confused smile, but his entertainment was much obvious, “couldn’t?”

Summary
High school third-year Zanka Nijiku has no time to be balancing study, friends, his relationship with a not-quite-mad scientist, and moonlighting as a villain- but he tells himself it's worth it, especially when it's all in order to take down a company that has been sinking its teeth into the city's politics for quite some time now.
But with the media breathing down his neck, a group of villains beginning to move, and a persistent new vigilante by the name of Nightclaw attempting to pin him down, Zanka has to tread carefully, else he risks everything falling apart.

AKA: How Zanka goes from the lowest point in his life to the highest point in his life to somewhere comfortably in between- each one all thanks to Jabber.

Summary
Zanka does not indulge himself. Zanka does not take creative liberties. Zanka does not deviate from a plan unless necessary. However, Zanka has never had to account for anyone as disgustingly masochistic and overwhelmingly strong as Jabber. He heard him cackle happily, as if this were all a game. As if Zanka wasn't hungry, tired, and seriously injured. As if he hadn't had the worst damn day he's had in a long time. He dug Lovely Assistaff into the ground to steady himself as he swayed on his feet, blinking slowly.
Jabber had already recovered, running towards him, which brought him back to the present. Everything seems to move in slow motion when you're in mortal danger, he's learned.
Mankira was only inches away. His mouth moves on its own.
"Make sure you hurt me good this time," he sputtered.
Both of them froze.
