Summary
For the first time in his life, Shigaraki Tomura is going to live on his own. Away from his family, away from his foster father, he moves into an old mansion.
The place is huge and old, in desperate need of renovation. His friends are quick to offer their help, but what they find is beyond anything any of them expected. As it turns out, the old Todoroki mansion isn't as deserted as it was made out to be. Stories and tales, only whispered about in the dark turn out to hold some amount of truth to them.
Despite everything, Shigaraki isn't one to just move out again. It took him too much time and effort to get this place to leave again, just because some asshole decided to stay at what is now officially his place. Dabi disagrees. -

Summary
Before Dabi became Dabi, he was a boy with hopes and aspirations. He wanted to take his place in this hero society, he wanted his friend Himiko to live happily and he wanted his preordained soulmate to be a person he can get along with. He should get none of it. When Touya died and Dabi was born the fire burned his skin and everything he ought to be and left behind an empty shell of a person driven by the desire for vengeance. Until the past catches up and brings back hopes he thought to be incinerated
Hope makes him reconsider promises he made to break and question his suicidal intentions.

An soulmate AU that's enwrought in a story about finding purpose and long lost hopes. Though the soulmate aspect is more a background phenomenon, it's a necessary push Shigaraki and Dabi need to see past their own goals.
The story is based on the canon events up to some point with small twists and turns and a new ending. Some kind of what could have been.
